Mount Pleasant Glass Museum
On November 17 your innkeepers attended the grand opening of the newly incorporated and nonprofit Mount Pleasant Glass Museum, at its permanent location at 402 E. Main St., Suite 600, Mt. Pleasant Township. The museum is advertised as having nearly 600 pieces of glass. There are display cases of examples of the wares produced locally by Bryce Brothers Glass, Lenox Crystal and L. E. Smith Glass, in the museum portion of the shop. In the O'Rourke Crystal and Antique Glass shop's portion of the space, there are shelves and shelves of glassware priced for sale, much of it the world's finest cut lead crystal, American brilliant. As a long term aficionado of brilliant cut lead crystal, this is one of the largest and most diverse collections I have ever seen.
